Who Are You Calling Short?

During the day you typically see only the head of the dramatically patterned Napoleon snake eel with the rest of the 75cm body buried underneath the sand. As these eels tend not to move around too much and don't appear to be too stressed by divers, they are excellent subjects to practice your photographic technique on. In this case I was experimenting with off camera snooted strobes for the first time. After spending a while trying to think of how to light this individual, I settled on a fairly wide beam coming from above that brings out the edge of the nose nicely.
