Sunset Underwater
On an otherwise uneventful dive I happened upon this anemone shrimp going about its business in a bush of Xenia elongata soft coral. I don't tend to photograph this species but decided I would try a wide aperture experiment. I turned down the power of my strobes and did my best to get the eye of the shrimp in focus letting the wide aperture throw the rest of the body and pincers out of focus. With the light from my strobe diffused by the soft coral, the shrimp almost looks as if it is bathing in the last rays of sunset.
